TVL Cup 1 June 26 H
Lowdham were home to Burton Joyce in this first round of the TVL Cup -of 4 rinks: one singles, one pairs, one trips and one fours.
The strength of Lowdham in the singles and the pairs proved decisive. In the singles a fairly comfortable win by 8 shots was achieved and the pairs never looked like losing, eventually winning by a fantastic 20 shots.
In the trips an early lead for Lowdham was met with a strong fightback from Burton Joyce who won by a single shot.
In the 4s, a close match saw the lead changing several times and the two teams went into the final end level when Burton Joyce’s skip bowled in to take the shot and win that game by a single shot.
The final score of Lowdham 86 Burton Joyce 60 saw Lowdham progress to the second round.
